Amanda Byram
Amanda began her TV career in 1999, co-hosting Ireland’s first ever breakfast show Ireland AM, such was her impact that, after just one year, she was invited to co-host the iconic British breakfast show, The Big Breakfast on Channel 4 (2000-2002).
Having established herself in the UK and Ireland, Amanda headed over to the USA fronting several primetime network shows for Fox, such as the smash hits formats Paradise Hotel and The Swan, as well as hosting Entertainment Tonight and the popular game show Grand Slam for GSN.
Amanda returned to the UK in 2009 when she was asked for present the brand-new format for BBC1 alongside Richard Hammond…the award-winning, international hit show Total Wipeout. The show ran for numerous series and is still shown around the world to this day!!
As well as Total Wipeout, Amanda’s TV Credits also include hosting the Sky One shows The Angel and popular talent show Don’t Stop Me Now as well as adventure show RV Rampage and hosting Something for the Weekend.
After two decades as a prime-time television host around the Globe, Amanda returned to Ireland to host the most watched show in the country, Dancing with the Stars Ireland (RTE) – alongside this she has been a regular Host for Pride of Ireland and The Irish Film and Television Awards.
In 2019, Amanda began co-hosting the hit show Food Unwrapped for Channel 4 where she explores, investigates, and reveals unexpected facts surrounding the food and drink we consume, from modern production methods to how food tastes and affects our health.
Alongside her prolific television career, Amanda has always enjoyed the benefits of a fit and active lifestyle. She has become increasingly known for her athleticism and, having created her own fitness apparel brand “Body by Byram”, won awards for Body Confidence and Positivity, being a Certified Level 3 Personal Trainer, writing a monthly column for Your Fitness, having certificate in Nutrition AND becoming a published Author with her best-selling book The Switch – ‘a distillation of all the simple and life-changing techniques, tips and tricks Amanda used to get herself off the “perfection treadmill” once and for all.
